Santiago's Snickers Urbania Festival

Starting in Russia, this urban festival traveled across the world to Mexico and South America making its way to the Santiago stadium in Chile. It is the only known event where this many BMX riders, skaters, bands, graffiti artists and gamers come together in one place. Sponsored by Snickers, this festival is the biggest and most anticipated one of its kind in the Latin hemisphere.

The Santiago Snickers Urbania participants

Skaters, bike riders, artists, dancers and bands from all over the world make their presence at the festival. These participants are both professional and entry level as well. More than a hundred thousand people participate in the heart pumping festivities. The Element Skate Team performs an exclusive together with Latin Americas best riders. Jeremiah Israel also offers classes with tips and learning throughout the day.

The purpose

The purpose of Urbania is to bring together the youth, the professionals and the culture all in one place. It is a place where music fans, art fans and sports fans can collide into one exciting space. It is a place where learning and fun is a priority, not an option.

Urbania festivities

Starting bright and early at eight A.M., participants can watch pro snow jumping, BMX acrobatics, skating, graffiti art and break dancing throughout the entire day. The willing participant can compete against a fellow participant in a gaming challenge or get a tattoo if they choose. With tips and tricks galore, the average skater or sporting fan is sure to come out with more knowledge than they had previously.

Though the festival is full of exciting stuff going on and participants can learn a great deal, it is more about bringing everyone together to have a great time than anything. It is about urban culture, the people and the things that shape it.
